Airfoil is a personal bag for flexible use for your private or business purposes. It was designed during my industrial design studies. The goal was to dispute on the subject of "Flying" in a more or less abstract way and come up with a solution-focused product concept around this very topic. My inspiration origins from the delicate and smart structure of airfoils - as they have been around for many decades. The solid but lightweight design of airfoils was intended to be used as a base for the shell of the product. Different new manufacturing processes and smart materials were being explored and used for a potential production plan of the concept. The design was created as a 3D model after exploring shape, material and ergonomics through physical foam and fabric full-scale mockups. The final presentation included a design prototype featuring the envisioned material and technical design features.
